The magic of experimentation from an artistic standpoint has always guided Silvia Tcherassi’s creative instincts, and the Resort 2023 collection provided her the perfect excuse to delve into materials and silhouettes from a different angle.
Elements of photography, more specifically digital settings, played a role in the elaboration of textiles. Different levels of saturation were tested, as well as contrasts, sharpness and playing with textures while overturning colored patterns to black-and-white. This experimentation involved a nuanced technological influence that further elevated silhouettes, achieving a fresh take on volume and movement with a remarkably unique feel.
Some of the season’s prints are a reinterpretation of house classics, such as floral motifs and our signature stripes, while other fabrics feature geometries inspired by hedge mazes. Jacquard, organza, knits, chiffon, poplin were the materials used for Resort 2023, and for the first time, the brand introduced a textile with a denim-like effect and added embroidered detailing that adequately complemented the other makings in a very Tcherassi manner.
“This collection is for a woman who is not oblivious to the convoluted nature of the present and yet does her part for a better tomorrow,” shared Silvia Tcherassi.
