Styling Notes 012

Surrounded by works of Fortunato Depero and the still lifes of Giorgio Morandi, we managed to chat with Sofia Espinosa Tcherassi during the brand’s latest collection presentation at New York’s Center for Italian Modern Art—an institution housed for more than a decade in SoHo.  The Director of Ready-to-Wear shared her top picks from the season.

“This trench is crafted from stroppicciato—one of the standout materials we’ve been working with lately, and I truly can’t get enough of it. The texture is absolutely divine, and the Small Sofia Handbag in the same finish is one of my favorite iterations to date.”

“I’ve been wearing this coral shade since early spring—it’s lively, optimistic, and bold. I love a monochromatic set and  the high neckline adds a touch of demure elegance. It also layers beautifully under a blazer. For this look, I kept it simple with a single gold cuff, though silver would work just as well.”

“The deep fuchsia hue of this dress gives off a kind of playful yet powerful femininity that I’ve always been attracted to. The subtle keyhole detail at the front reminds me of Lucio Fontana’s iconic slashed canvas series.”
